You're not alone on your journey
Navigating a transition like a chronic illness can be an overwhelming and often isolating experience, impacting not just your body but your emotions, thoughts, and daily life.
The Kings Fund (UK) tells us,
'Around 30 per cent of all people with a long-term physical health condition also have a mental health problem, most commonly depression/anxiety'.
As a psychotherapist and life coach, I understand the unique challenges that come with life transitions as well as with a chronic illness. I've seen first hand the resilience and strength that individuals possess while facing these battles. My passion lies in supporting you through these hurdles, providing a safe space to share your journey, and offering tailored sessions that acknowledge the subtle interplay of physical health and emotional well-being.
I invite you to reach out and take the first step towards embracing a brighter tomorrow. Together, we'll work on strategies to cope, rebuild, and rediscover joy in your life. You're not alone on this path; I'm here to equip and support you every step of the way.

"Indu is friendly, non judgemental and easy to talk to. I appreciated the ability to talk through things that I don't feel able to admit or talk to friends and family about without judgement or feeling guilty."
Long-term Health Conditions
I specialise in supporting major health conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Parkinsons, CFS / ME, Cancer etc.
You don’t need to live in misery, struggling with poor mental health and feeling as though every day is full of battles to be fought. You don’t need to feel that your employer is the enemy that does not understand.
You can live a productive and happy life, despite your condition and despite the difficult symptoms you may currently be experiencing.
I provide a holistic service focusing on the emotional drivers that impact our health on a day-to-day basis. This includes helping you to understand the role of stress, anxiety, and mood dips on your symptoms, suggesting management strategies for these areas, resilience building and the provision of a personalised, tailored health plan that if you implement consistently, will help you remain well within your condition.
We can address your eating regime, your activity levels, your social circle, your intimate relationships, your spirituality. I also teach you how to read your body, to understand the language of your body so that you learn to be guided by your personal truth.
After undertaking an assessment of your situation, we can decide whether a structured and short Coaching programme will be more suitable for you or whether a longer course of Psychotherapy might be needed.
Life Transitions
Collaborative support for your mental health and major life transitions with a Psychotherapist and Life Coach
Life transitions such as relationship changes, children, deaths, career upheavals and more can lead us to question our own journey. They can also raise significant or persistent emotional responses that may plague us, impact us detrimentally, take life down a path we feel lost within.
At times we can’t sort out these questions and associated thoughts and feelings by ourselves or with close loved ones.
Sometimes you just need an outsider.
I offer different perspectives, a confidential, contained yet comfortable space to voice, explore and understand your feelings, as well as a trusted and objective person to help you develop your next steps.
Your journey is only yours - as unique as you are. Different people come into our lives for different reasons. Perhaps I am the person to accompany you on this part of your journey?
Cultural Issues
I help people who wish to explore cultural issues - to delve into these areas.
Culture for me is not just about race and ethnicity, although it certainly includes these areas. To my perception, we all belong to several cultures: family culture, societal culture, an ableist culture, a gender-identified culture, a peer culture – as well as racial and ethnic culture.
Clients have recently started finding and approaching me because they see my otherness, and they feel that I may be able to support them to explore, work or deal with their own otherness, whether that be from the perspective of their ethnic and racial heritage, gender identity, unconscious bias or prejudice from others. Some people have wanted a space to explore their own unconscious biases. Yet others have sought my support because they want to work with difference in their own professional and personal lives, because they appreciate difference at some level and the versatility it brings to their lives and their thinking.
I work with all aspects of cultural differences, and I feel this aligns very well with my other areas of special interest.
